This Month’s Photography Challenge:
The Shape Showcase

Ready to see your surroundings through a whole new lens? This month’s challenge will stretch your creativity and alter your perspective on everyday scenes. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to focus on a specific shape and incorporate it into every photo you capture. Whether it’s circles, squares, triangles, or any other geometric figure, this shape must be prominently featured in your composition.

This task is particularly engaging in urban environments, where architectural elements can naturally complement your chosen shape. The challenge might be more demanding in natural landscapes, but that only makes it more rewarding. Select a shape that resonates with you and set a target for the number of photos you plan to take. We’ll continue with the achievement levels established last month (but less to reach each level):

📷 Level 1 (Easy): 5 photos
📷 Level 2 (Beginner): 10 photos
📷 Level 3 (Intermediate): 20 photos
📷 Level 4 (Advanced): 30 photos
📷 Level 5 (Beast Mode): 50 photos!

Last Month’s Challenge Photos

Last month’s photo challenge was to pick a single color and make sure it showed up in all your shots. I’ll admit—I ran a little behind on this one and didn’t actually take my photos until today (May 1). Just in time for the newsletter!

Blue isn’t normally my go-to color, but with spring in full swing and birds starting to nest, I couldn’t resist focusing on the Eastern Bluebird. It made for some great photo opportunities.

I’m only sharing four photos here, but I took a lot more—enough to land me in the Level 3 (Intermediate) category. I ended up with over 50 shots, though many were rapid-fire bursts, so I’d say about 25 of them are truly unique.
